Dr. Russell combines over 25 years of clinical experience in Internal Medicine and Geriatrics with 8 years of Clinical Informatics experience in the post acute/ long term care space to provide guidance for technology solutions that work with the care providers they support.

Dr. Russell is currently fully engaged with two terrific clients.  He specializes in the optimization of health information technology deployments, optimizing the user experience by creating solutions which anticipate the users information needs and understands the challenges of their clinical workflows.

He began 2011 with a challenge for the National Coordinators Office:  Help the Challenge Grant Theme 2 recipients in long term care align well with the core processes of the care providers to improve care transitions.  Since then, Dr. Russell moved from his position as Vice President, Clinical Informatics at a prominent CCRC provider, to support several selected clients in the longitudinal care space. He is currently chairman of the HIT Committee of the American Medical Directors Association.  He is currently fully engaged.
